01 / Planning the purchase
Identify the filling requirement
This route concerns the material inside a pillow, rather than the cover fabric. Describe whether your process handles loose fiber or a prepared filling form. If you purchase a ready-made insert instead, make that buying stage explicit; an insert and the fiber used to make it are different products.
02 / Planning the purchase
Describe the pillow experience
Explain whether the intended pillow should feel soft and yielding, structured or somewhere in between. Include the article type, such as a bed pillow or decorative cushion. The finished feel also depends on filling quantity, cover construction and assembly, so keep those elements in the project conversation.
03 / Planning the purchase
Explain how filling enters production
Give a simple description of your filling process and the form in which material is handled. Identify whether the person contacting us represents the filling operation, the sewing factory or a trading business. This helps direct follow-up questions to the colleague who knows the production stage.
04 / Planning the purchase
Keep fiber mass and finished-piece counts separate
The number of pillows does not by itself state how much fiber is needed. If your own product plan includes a filling mass per article, keep that figure beside the piece count and identify any additional production allowance separately. Do not substitute shipping weight for the mass of filling inside the product.
05 / Planning the purchase
Organize variants before requesting a quote
A pillow range may include different sizes and filling concepts. Give each variant an article reference and describe what changes between them. Include the material quantity when available and the destination. A short, organized brief makes it easier to discuss the project without losing the differences between variants.
Example inquiry outline
We manufacture pillows and are discussing the fiber used inside the sewn cover. The range contains several sizes, with each size recorded as a separate article. Our filling team can describe how the material enters production. We will provide the planned fiber mass once our own filling quantities have been calculated for each variant.
Adapt this illustrative outline to your own project before sending.
