01 / Planning the purchase
Start with an agreed recipe
This tool takes a total input mass and a polyester percentage, then calculates the mass of polyester and the remaining partner fiber. Name the other fiber so that the result remains readable when copied. The calculator performs arithmetic on a recipe you choose; it does not select a blend for a particular textile.
02 / Planning the purchase
How the calculation works
Polyester mass equals total mass multiplied by the polyester percentage divided by 100. The partner-fiber mass is the remaining quantity. The two masses add up to the total entered. Both results use the selected mass unit, either kilograms or metric tonnes. Percentages of zero and 100 are accepted to show the boundary cases.
03 / Planning the purchase
Worked arithmetic example
For a total input of 1,000 kg with polyester at 65%, the results are 650 kg polyester and 350 kg partner fiber. This is an illustrative calculation, not a recommended blend or an offered product. Changing the total while keeping the percentage fixed changes both component masses in proportion.
04 / Planning the purchase
What the result leaves open
The calculation excludes production loss, moisture adjustments and buying allowances. It applies to two components and a mass-based recipe. Keep any additional purchasing allowance separate from the recipe, and do not enter finished-piece counts as though they were kilograms. The tool rejects a share below zero or above 100%.
