01 / Planning the purchase
Describe the garment’s everyday use
Workwear may mean uniforms, service clothing or other garments worn during a job. Identify the garment and working context in ordinary language. Keep protective clothing as a separate discussion: a polyester-containing fabric is not automatically a protective garment simply because it is used at work.
02 / Planning the purchase
Identify fiber or yarn purchasing
A spinner preparing a polyester blend may buy staple fiber; a fabric mill may buy spun or filament yarn. Tell us where your process begins. A finished-garment manufacturer may instead need fabric, which is a different buying stage from either raw fiber or yarn.
03 / Planning the purchase
Record the blend and construction
Name blend components individually and label their proportions when agreed. Describe whether the fabric is woven or knitted and how it will be used in the garment. The finished feel and appearance depend on the textile construction as a whole, so avoid treating a blend name as a complete garment description.
04 / Planning the purchase
Keep the collection organized
Trousers, shirts and outer layers in the same uniform range may use different fabrics. Assign an article reference to each material requirement. Note whether the project is new or continuing and make any changes to an earlier reference explicit, particularly when several buyers are involved.
05 / Planning the purchase
Prepare a focused inquiry
Include the garment use, material form, manufacturing route, blend description, estimated quantity and destination. Add the questions that remain open instead of guessing answers. Have questions? Please email us directly with a short description of your workwear project.
Example inquiry outline
We are developing a woven uniform fabric with a spinning partner. The present inquiry concerns the polyester staple fiber entering the yarn-making stage. We will label the blend components and keep each garment article linked to its own fabric reference. The estimated buying quantity and destination will be provided by the purchasing contact.
